Computers & Technology
Computer Printer Driver Manufacturer:
$250,000 worth of soon-to-be obsolete inventory, with a cash value of about $25,000 was
sold at the full wholesale. K&A then provided the client with various types of spend
down that replaced his normal cash expenditures, including printing equipment and
services.
SCSI Drive Peripheral Manufacturer: Talk about a
transformation! This manufacturer had $1.2 million in inventory at book value, with a
street value around 90% less. Kaufman & Associates arranged for him to receive
full book value and turn that inventory into furniture, instruction manual printing, long
distance and a host of cash flow!
Packaged Goods
Sausage Manufacturer: Excess sausage product
inventories were purchased and remarketed in non-competitive domestic markets. "No
baloney", K&A can do this for your company, too!
Office Electronics
Uninterruptable Power Supply Manufacturer: A
large manufacturer had $3.86 million in excess inventory and OEM product that was worth
only 15%-20% of the original value due to changes in technology. Kaufman & Associates
sold the goods for full original value and applied the trade credits toward printing
annual reports and business forms, warehouse and shipping materials and other needed items
and services.
Home Electronics
Surge Protector Manufacturer: One of the
country's largest surge protector manufacturers had over 35,000 units due to a buyback
(purchasing competitor's merchandise so that placement of your own goods can be obtained)
from a retail chain. The value was $800,000.00. Kaufman & Associates arranged for a
buyer at $800,000.00 who moved the merchandise in new, non-competitive areas.

Hospitality Industry
Hotel Chain: A large, publicly-traded hotel
chain had an aggressive business plan to acquire and/or manage more hotel properties.
K&A helped arrange a $500,000 secondary capital finance transaction using a like
amount of hotel room gift certificates. The chain received the full value and filled their
unsold rooms with guests who spent cash on food and other services. Then the chain used
the credits to purchase everything from carpeting, to furniture, to printing. Thus,
significant cash was conserved and applied to expansion.
Entertainment
Adult-themed nightclubs: This small chain
with locations across the country needed financing. K&A was able to secure $500,000.00
in alternative financing in exchange for equity. Now, the firm is planning a full NASDAQ
listing and is using the credits for construction build-out, printing of their prospectus,
interior furnishings, media advertising and more!
Apparel
Golf Shoe Manufacturer: This company had a
large inventory of shoes in a discontinued style. Rather than dump the shoes at a loss,
glut the market and sabotage their own new model launch, they turned to K&A. We
arranged for a buyer at full book value who remarketed the merchandise in accordance with
the manufacturer's guidelines.
Pharmaceutical Industry
Herb and Vitamin Manufacturer: This company
had private labeled $1.5 million worth of bottles for a major chain store, only to have
the order canceled. Even with much of the merchandise close to expiration, K&A came to
the rescue with a buyer at full book value!
Financial
Public Company: K&A assisted this company
in the exchange of restricted securities for several million dollars worth of media, as
well as for financial printing.
Real Estate
Developer: Due to slow sales, this firm needed just
one more sale to satisfy his bank's requirements for a loan. Thanks to Kaufman &
Associates, he received full value for the property, and used his credits to produce a
video, purchase Realtor's incentives, obtain lighting and more.
Media
Publisher: K&A assisted this company from
its very start-up, including helping them obtain printing and other necessities.
General Merchandise
General Merchandise Distributor: This company
was having trouble moving 2.3 million mylar balloons that they had purchased
opportunistically. The balloons had various messages on them ("Happy Bar
Mitzvah", "I Love You", "Chicago Cubs", et cetera). K&A
arranged for them to sell these balloons at full value, avoiding a "hit" on the
books, and created warehouse space for other incoming inventories. Now the distributor can
use the credits for warehouse materials such as corrugated, shelving, shrink wrap, pallets
and more. |
